Everyone Deserves a Smile during the holidays

Everybody deserves a smile.

That’s the motto from EDAS, a fundraiser put on by Southgate students who create care packages for the homeless in Campbell River.

Middle school teacher and organizer Drew Swanson says the students make 150 care packages to deliver December 15, which also creates a great learning experience.

Swanson says if you would like to help out, you can drop off items such as wool socks, toques, mittens, scarves toothbrushes, etc. at Southgate Middle School or Sundance Java.

Cash donations are also welcomed. Cheques can be made out to EDAS.
