Flooding in downtown Campbell River

The City of Campbell River is asking residents to use caution while driving around downtown.

There is localized flooding from today’s rain storm.

General Manager of Operations, Ron Neufeld, says it’s not unusual to have flooding in the downtown area at this time of year.

Neufeld says residents should use caution over the next few days, with more rain in the forecast.

RCMP have added that drivers should slow down, and be fully aware of fellow drivers and pedestrians out on the roads in the rainy conditions, and make sure they can see out of all of their windows.
