BC Ferries will operate at reduced capacity on the Campbell River–Quadra Island route for several hours Saturday, May 2.
The corporation said the vessel Island Nagalis will be reassigned to complete dock-fit testing at the Heriot Bay ferry terminal on Quadra Island and the Whaletown ferry terminal on Cortes Island.
“We anticipate heavy traffic from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm departing Quathiaski Cove, and from 10:30 am to 4:00 pm departing Campbell River. Two-vessel service will resume at 4 pm,” reads a statement from BC Ferries.
The corporation said the dock-fit testing will ensure vehicles can safely load and unload following upgrades at the Heriot Bay and Whaletown terminals to accommodate newer Island-class vessels.
A revised schedule for the route on May 2 is available on the BC Ferries here.
