Harbour Air launches direct flight between Vancouver and Campbell River

Harbour Air has launched daily flights between Vancouver and Campbell River.

The inaugural flights were celebrated on Monday, July 6 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and cultural welcome from Andrew Puglas of the Wei Wai Kum First Nation.

“This new connection makes it easier than ever for people to travel between Campbell River and downtown Vancouver, benefiting residents, businesses and visitors alike,” says City of Campbell River Mayor Kermit Dahl. “It also opens the door to one of Canada’s largest tourism and business markets, creating new opportunities for our community and supporting long-term economic growth. I’d like to thank Harbour Air for investing in Campbell River, Vancouver Island Air for supporting the service, and everyone who helped bring this offering to life. We look forward to welcoming even more visitors to experience everything our community has to offer.”

The 55-minute flight will fly between the two communities every day until Sept. 30

“Campbell River rounds out our summer expansion and becomes our northernmost destination on Vancouver Island,” says Chris Fordyce, chief commercial officer at Harbour Air. “This new route opens the door to another remarkable part of the region while providing fast, convenient travel for both visitors and businesses. By bringing Campbell River and Vancouver within an hour of each other, we’re making it easier than ever to experience, invest in and stay connected to this vibrant coastal community.”
