Campbell River seeks input on proposed Official Community Plan

Campbell River residents are being invited to weigh in on the city’s proposed new Official Community Plan later this month.

A public hearing is scheduled for Monday, July 20, in council chambers at City Hall.

The city said the proposed bylaw would replace the existing Official Community Plan with a new long-term vision to guide land use, growth and development over the next 20 years.

Residents wishing to speak at the public hearing are asked to register through the city’s legislative services department.

Written submissions must be received by 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, to be included in the council agenda package. Submissions received after that deadline and before the close of the public hearing will still be provided to council as part of the public hearing record.

More information is available on the city’s website and social media channels.
