New bus service linking Campbell River to Gold River

The Strathcona Regional District says there is a new way to travel through the North Island region.

The SRD said IslandLinkBus has launched a summer pilot service connecting Campbell River, Strathcona Park Lodge and Gold River.

“The service will run twice daily in each direction, Thursday through Monday, making it easier to explore the region, connect with communities and enjoy everything the area has to offer,” the SRD said in a statement.

The regional district said it will monitor the initiative to learn more about travel demand and gauge interest in a long-term transit connection between Campbell River and Gold River.
