Campbell River RCMP seek assistance in finding wanted man

Campbell River RCMP are asking the public for help locating 41-year-old Ray Sharkey, who is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant and a B.C.-wide warrant.

RCMP said Sharkey is wanted for failing to appear for DNA sampling and a review of a sentence order related to a 2024 assault causing bodily harm conviction.

He is described as six feet tall, weighing 196 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Police said they believed Sharkey was in Campbell River as of July 27.

“Sharkey’s criminal history includes convictions for various violence and weapons offences, and he is considered a danger to the public,” said an RCMP news release.
