Major breakthrough in coastal woodworkers talks

Not quite a done deal yet, until ratification votes for four-thousand woodworkers are carried out, but a major breakthrough now in coastal contract talks for Steelworkers Union members.
We spoke with Steelworkers Local 1-1937 First Vice President Rick Wangler.

Wangler highlights some key elements of the tentative agreement.

Wangler says the agreement covers several hundred woodworkers in the Powell River-Sunshine Coast region, and as for the North Island area?

Wangler says results of the coastal woodworkers ratification vote will be released in early August after the voting process wraps up at end of this month. Voting gets underway shortly this week.
