BC Hydro said higher flows through Elk Falls Canyon will begin Sept. 16 to accommodate salmon migration and spawning.
The utility said the higher flows will require a public safety notice every Wednesday and Thursday from Sept. 16 to Nov. 12 as fish migration and spawning continues.
Water flows will increase from about five cubic metres per second to about eight cubic metres per second during the migration flows.
Temporary signage will be in place around Elk Falls Canyon.
