Emergency officials say there were no reports of damage or injuries after a series of earthquakes shook off the coast of Vancouver Island overnight.

Three earthquakes were recorded off the Island between Sunday night and early Monday morning.

A third earthquake, measuring 5.2, struck the same area early Monday morning.

The earthquakes were recorded west of Port Hardy, with the largest occurring about 166 kilometres west-southwest of the community.
