SRD to celebrate new accessible playground at Mitlenatch Park

The Strathcona Regional District is inviting the public to celebrate upgrades to the accessible playground at Mitlenatch Park.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 2:30 p.m. at the park on Engles Road in Electoral Area D.

“Made possible in part through funding from Tire Stewardship BC, these improvements represent an important investment in creating inclusive, welcoming public spaces where people of all ages and abilities can play, connect, and enjoy their community,” said the regional district in a social media post.

The celebration will include remarks from project partners, light refreshments and an opportunity for families to try out the upgraded playground.

The SRD says parking is available on Cambie Road.
