The Shoebox Project was a great success this year, collecting 240 shoeboxes for the women of Campbell River.
The project is to give shoeboxes filled with little luxuries for women who are going through difficult times, or may live in poverty.
Organizers Alison Skrepneck and Linda Carlson say these shoeboxes are filled sometimes with items that we take for granted, such as shampoo, perfume, or socks.
Skrepneck says this year they had a lot more volunteers and different people putting the shoeboxes together.
