Campbell River recently receivedĀ a $20,000 age-friendly community planning and project grant.
Recreation and Culture Manager Lynn Wark says the city applied for the grant through the union of B.C. municipalities because Campbell River wants to become an age friendly community since our number of seniors is growing.
Wark says although every age group is important, the senior age group does require some specific things, and they want to be pro active and meet all those needs.
