North Island College is receiving funding for adult-literacy programs on the North Island.
Comox Valley MLA Don McRae says the funding will be used for targeted programming to support adults who struggle with reading, writing or math.
McRae says it can be surprising to find out how many adults have low literacy skills, which can have a significant impact on their daily life.
