The B.C forestry industry is looking to Asia to develop it’s sector.
Minister Steve Thomson and 25 delegates are visiting Japan and China for the 2016 Forestry Trade Mission in Asia
The itinerary includes attending a forestry conference in Shanghai.
Thomson says the conference will be important to increasing the value of B.C’s forestry sector.
The Chinese forestry sector is worth over 1.2 billion dollars
Thomson says meetings with Chinese officials are also being held to maintain and develop relations.
