The Forestry Task Force has outlined its goals for 2017.
Some of the goals include using locally sourced wood and looking for opportunities to use waste wood.
The Task Force will also be reviewing industrial tax rates in the area, something City Economic Development Officer Rose Klukas says is important to growing the city’s economy.
Klukas says the task force will regularly report to council to make sure they are being held accountable to their goals.
