A Campbell River kid is in Nova Scotia this week.
Brett Stapley is playing for Team Canada in the World Junior A Challenge. The tournament got underway yesterday with the gold medal game set for Saturday.
Stapley plays for the Vernon Vipers. He’s already gotten a scholarship to play for Denver University next year and is one of only eight players from the BCHL on the NHL’s watch list for the upcoming draft.
