CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-Enjoy today’s sunshine, because Environment Canada says it isn’t going to last.
In a special weather statement for the east coast of Vancouver Island the agency says a trough of low pressure is moving southwards along the B.C. coast. The statement is in effect from Campbell River to Duncan.
That trough will bring more snow tomorrow morning which will then change to rain or a mix of snow and rain in the afternoon as the temperature rises.
Snowfall amounts will vary quite a bit, with the highest accumulations being between five and 10 cm. Environment Canada is keeping an eye on things and will issue more updates as needed.
