CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C.-A video of a cougar filmed north of Campbell River is causing a stir. The close encounter with the big cat was shot by hunter Adam Bartsch. It shows the animal getting very close to him.
The video was published by She Hunts Productions, which is ran by Bartsch’s wife Chantelle. She says her husband just stumbled upon the animal:
Bartsch films the cougar, which is staring right at him throughout the video, for a few minutes. The published video is a condensed, edited version of his roughly hour long original film. Chantelle says he eventually scared it off; or so he had thought:
