Conservation officers are looking into unconfirmed reports of a cougar sighting yesterday (February 25) in the Springbok area, near Sandowne Elementary.
Officer Gord Gudbranson says that it was a school bus driver who was initially notified of the alleged sighting.
Gudbranson said animal control and conservation officers went to check out the area and did not see a cougar.
Letters were sent home to parents informing them about these incidents.
