The Campbell River RCMP says one is in custody, and officers are still looking for another.
Police say officers responded to a report of a disturbance involving a knife around 7:30pm last night. The incident happened along the 600 block of 9th Ave.
Spokesperson Cst. Maury Tyre says the incident happened between a man and a woman. The male was injured and taken to hospital. He’s currently in police custody for further investigation.
The woman fled from the scene, and police are looking for her.
Tyre adds the two individuals know each other and both are known to police.
“We’d like to thank the public for their ongoing assistance in this investigation. The RCMP would like to ensure the public that this was an isolated incident between two individuals who are known to one another and there is no threat to the general public at large,” Tyre said.
RCMP Forensics, Police Dogs Services, Major Case Unit and General Duty personnel were involved in the investigation.
