The CVRD, Village of Cumberland and TimberWest have teamed up to brainstorm ways to stabilize the banks of Perseverance Creek, which may have been a factor on that lengthy boil water advisory last winter.
The Regional District’s Marc Rutten says a hazard abatement or prevention order has been issued by Island Health s medical health officer on erosion concerns.
Rutten explains whether logging activity played a role in that boil water advisory.
Last year on December 11, a boil water advisory was issued for the Comox Valley water system from high turbidity levels, it stayed in force for 47 days.
