A small grass fire early this morning prompted the closure of Highway 19 just south of Duncan Bay Road.
Traffic was blocked while Firefighters quickly extinguished the flames and according to Drive BC’s Twitter account the highway is clear, and traffic is flowing through the area.
Currently, the cause of the fire is unknown. We’ll have more details as they become available
