With the Quadrapalooza festival happening on Quadra Island this weekend, BC Ferries is warning travelers to prepare for heavy traffic.
The music festival runs from Sept. 1 to 3 at the Quadra Community Centre, and features 23 singers, performers, puppeteers, and even Juno-award winning artist Alpha Yaya Diallo.
BC Ferries is anticipating an increase in foot passenger and vehicle traffic on all sailings between Quathiaski Cove and Campbell River until Monday, September 4 for the annual festival, combined with other expected long weekend travelers.
They recommend arriving at the terminals as early as possible, consider carpooling to reduce the number of vehicles, and be prepared for possible sailing waits.
