A snowfall warning is in effect for East Vancouver Island.
Environment and Climate Change Canada says throughout today, Courtenay and Campbell River will get between 5 to 10 centimeters of snow.
This comes as a low-pressure system off the Island will draw in moisture, resulting in flurries across the south coast.
Because of the pockets of heavy flurries, there will be poor travel conditions in both areas.
They ask you to prepare for the changing road conditions, and to turn on your lights and keep a safe distance while driving.
