Young swimmers hoping to represent Canada at Summer Olympics

Three local swimmers are competing in Toronto this week for their chance to represent Canada at the Olympics.

Campbell River Killer Whales swim club members Sarah Haugen, Zac Millns, and Keyana Owens are at the Toronto Pan Am Sports Centre for the Swimming Canada Olympic Trials.

Haugen, 16, attends Campbell River Christian School. Millns, 15, and Owens, 16, attend Timberline Secondary School.

The trio have been training in the pool before and after school every day and on the weekends. They have also been hitting the weight room, climbing wall, and martial arts studio to be in peak condition for the trials.

They are all hoping to be selected to represent Canada at the Summer Olympics this year in Paris, France.
