The annual Wings and Wheels event is happening today at the Campbell River airport, featuring classic cars, airplane displays, and more.
TeenFlight will also be there, to promote the aviation program aimed at youth which lets them build and fly their own aircraft.
Opening speeches are at 10 am. At 11:30 am the fire department will be burning a car as a demonstration, at their training site across from Sealand Aviation.
It started at 8 am this morning and will be running until 3 pm, free shuttle service is provided from Timberline School if you don’t want to try and find parking on site.
Food trucks will be on site, and there’s also a kids zone open from 10 am to 2 pm.
