Trail closures to install new bridges coming to Beaver Lodge Lands

Several trails in the Beaver Lodge Lands will be closed this month while crews work installing new crossings over Simms Creek before spring.

The first closure starts on Monday, February 10 and runs until the 15th. It affects the Norma’s Loop Trail from the northern Rail Trail junction to McIvor’s Rail. The closure is so the crossing over North Simms Creek can be replaced.

Starting February 17, the Simms Creek Trail will be closed from the intersection with Dogwood St. South to the Rail Trail, so the crossing over South Simms Creek can be replaced. It should be completed by February 24.

During the work, there may be temporary closures along the ERT trail to allow for equipment movement.
