Two-hour parking is now in place in Campbell River’s downtown, letting customers take their time.
The extended time limits kicked in on Thursday. They come after a request from the Downtown Business Improvement Association, which was approved by council earlier this year.
Now, all one-hour downtown parking zones have had limits doubled, including all of Shoppers Row and Pier Street and some surrounding blocks.
All parking remains free. Long-term parking is available at the Maritime Heritage Centre in the Tyee Plaza. Visit the city’s website for an up-to-date map of parking in the downtown core.
