BC FAMILY DAY AT THE MUSEUM

Lots of activities are planned for BC Family Day on February 18 at the Museum at Campbell River. The 1916 Empire Steam Donkey at the Museum will be fired up and doing whistle demonstrations. Try the steam donkey coffee that was a staple for the hard-working loggers during a break and a slice of apple pie. This is part of the twice, annual running of the steam engine for certification.For Families, try out the kids’ craft activities inside the changing gallery.  Mr. Tyee will be out for photos along with Blackbeary.  Admission to the Museum galleries will be free this day so be sure to explore the Log cabin, float home and Willows Hotel in the permanent exhibits.
