A property on Engles Road will turn haunted tomorrow.
The Halloween Haunted House and Yard are open from 5:00pm to 11:00pm Halloween night.
Chris and Tanya Flood have transformed their house into a haunt since 2012.
Chris is the architect behind the display at 23 Engles Rd.
Fundraising-wise, Tanya said history will repeat itself as they continue to support young cancer patient Jonah Shankar.
“Last year, we specifically did it as a fundraiser for Jonah Shankar and his family to help support their journey, and we’re repeating that this year where half of the donations are headed off to Jonah and his family and half of the donations are going to the Terry Fox Foundation, because they have an entire research program where they are researching over 30 pediatric cancer treatments for children.”
The display includes a 20-minute tour through the haunt.
But there’s also a kids zone for those too scared to walk the whole yard.
There are over 10 haunted areas including Pirates Cove, The Mummy, Egyptian Pharaoh’s tomb, Spider Lair, Vampire Lair, Harry Potter area, Talking tree, Frankenstein area, ghosts, graveyards, The Body Part shop, live characters and generally scary things to walk past and enjoy.
Tanya said the display and tour are as creative as they are scary.
“It’s just a ton of fun,” she said.
The less scary display is between 5:00 and 7:00.
Hot chocolate and popcorn are available by donation, as well.
