RCMP investigating disturbance at local store

Charges are being considered after a disturbance at a local grocery store.

Campbell River RCMP Constable Sara Clark says a man had entered the store around 5:00 PM on Friday evening and was behaving erratically.

She says staff called 911 and evacuated the building until police arrived on scene.

She notes police arrived in minutes and found the man in the back of the store in medical distress. The male was apprehended and taken to hospital.

Clark says the investigation is still ongoing and charges are being considered.
