Trevena calls for better road maintenance

The MLA for the North Island is pressing the government for better maintenance and repairs on north island roads.

Claire Trevena says the storms this fall have caused problems on many roadways, including the Zeballos Forest Service Road.

Trevena says many communities and industry rely on the roads to access and it’s important the roads are maintained so communities are not cut off from the rest of the island.

Trevena says she’d like to see the government ensure there is enough money set aside in the budget to ensure roads are able to be kept in fair to good condition year-round.
