BC Ferries banning smoking, passengers on closed decks

B-C Ferries is banning passengers from staying in their vehicles on closed decks starting this fall.

Director of Fleet Operations Darren Johnston says the move will come into effect on October 11th and is a move to comply with Transport Canada regulations.

The company is also banning smoking on all of its sailings and at all of its terminals by January 2018.
