CAMPBEBLL RIVER, B.C.- Police are investigating after an incident involving a gun in Campbell River. The RCMP says it happened Monday afternoon.
Officers responded to a call about two men in their early 20s brandishing a handgun in the 1400 block of the Island Highway. The RCMP says thanks to the “quick thinking” of a citizen the two men were found inside Walmart and they were arrested without incident.
Police seized what later turned out to be a pellet gun. Corporal Ron Vlooswyk says weapons charges are going to be recommended to the Crown.
