City launches videos, workshop to help residents improve home energy efficiency

CAMPBELL RIVER, B.C. – Winter-time hydro bills may be high for many.

To help the situation, the City of Campbell River has launched a trio of videos that provides information for homeowners on how to use home energy efficiently. The videos are also reminders of incentives available for builders.

The videos focus on improving home comfort while reducing energy bills, building to the BC Energy Step Code, and the incentives available.

According to a release from the city, the videos highlight resources that can help homeowners improve home comfort and efficiency.

The videos can be found at the City of Campbell River website or through the city’s YouTube page.

The city is also hosting a free workshop, where energy experts will discuss ways on making homes energy efficient. The workshop is on February 20th from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Coast Discovery Inn.

The workshop is in partnership with BC Hydro.
