Federal NDP leader visits the North Island
The Official Opposition Leader, federal NDP leader Tom Mulcair, kicked off a summer season tour of Vancouver Island in Comox, getting up close and personal in handling seafood, as he checked out Comox First Nations aquaculture operations at the federal government wharf.
Meanwhile Mulcair says bread and butter issues hitting Canadians in the pocketbook are front and centre as he tours the country.
Mulcair is no stranger to the Comox Valley having visited the area last summer.
