In 2010, the Sexual Wellness and Education Society of Campbell River clinic had 80 youth come use their services, and just last year, the number rose to 530.
Board member Barb Preston says the organization has been running strong for five years, but they are at the point where they need help from the city.
Preston adds the clinic is only open one afternoon during the week at the Robron centre, so to expand their resources, such as space and hours would make a huge difference.
The Sexual Wellness and Education Society of Campbell River will be having an open house November 20 to celebrate their five years of operations. The open house is from 12-3 in the lower level of the Robron Centre.
