Campbell River council considers removal of land dedication for Pease Road

The City of Campbell River will consider removing a portion of land dedicated as a roadway at its next council meeting.

According to the city, it has entered into a conditional purchase agreement with Econo U-Store-It Inc. to consolidate the closed portion of road with the property at 1231 Spruce St.

The city said the agreement could allow the removal of the highway dedication and requires consideration by council.

“This would remove the highway dedication for this portion of road,” the city said. “This will require adoption of Road Closure and Dedication Removal Bylaw.”

Council is inviting comments or requests to present at the May 14 meeting, but submissions must be received by May 1.
