Local highways contractor Mainroad North Island is advising that base repairs and paving work along select sections of Highway 30 will begin Sept. 8.
Work will start at the Highway 19 intersection and continue in the direction of Port Alice, with repairs expected to be complete Oct. 1.
Drivers are being asked to watch for loose gravel and respect all roadside crews.
