Green Party Leader Elizabeth May says she hopes Canadians ask tough questions about the Trans Pacific Partnership. May was in Nanaimo today for a press conference taking aim at the TPP.
May was accompanied by Nanaimo-Ladysmith candidate Paul Manly, and an ally on the other side of the globe. New Zealand Green Party co-leader James Shaw joined May via video link.
May says Canadians need to ask tough questions about why the TPP was negotiated in secret, and why it favours investor-state provisions that give corporations the right to seek damages from a country.
