The MLA for the North Island is hoping something can be done soon to remove the diversion on the Salmon River.
BC Hydro has opted to not proceed with fixing the diversion and will instead remove it – but not for three years.
Claire Trevena says the delay is a cause of concern for salmon conservationists.
Trevena has reached out to the province and will be meeting with BC Hydro to see what can be done to have the work done sooner.
