Storm Back to their Winning Ways

Yesterday at the Rod Brind’Amour Arena, the Campbell River Storm played their third game in three days, finishing with a 5-3 victory over the Peninsula Panthers.

Saturday night, the squad was in Parksville, where they defeated the Generals 8-2 and on Friday, they downed the Panthers 6-3 in Saanich.

Newcomer Carter Hikichi, who came to the Storm via the Notre Dame Hounds, was the first star on Sunday. Michal Holub in his new role as a blueliner was second star, and captain Gage Colpron, the team’s leading scorer, was selected as the third star.

Campbell River moves back into first place in the Vancouver Island Junior Hockey League (VIJHL) North Division, two points ahead of the Nanaimo Buccaneers, who they’ll face Thursday and Friday.
