Rotary March for Children set for March 14

The annual March for Children fundraiser is set for Saturday, March 14, and aims to raise money for children and mothers at Campbell River Hospital.

Members of Campbell River Daybreak Rotary and the Rotary Club of Campbell River will be collecting donations from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in support of the Campbell River Hospital Foundation.

“This year we are fundraising for vital sign monitors that allow mothers who are expecting to move around the hospital and be monitored as they do so,” said Rotarian and former fire chief Ian Baikie. “Nursing stations can see what’s going on with the new child, while the mother goes for walks and such.”

Volunteers will be stationed at St. Ann’s Road and Shoppers Row, Dogwood Street and 13th Avenue, Alder Street and 2nd Avenue and Rotary Beach Park.

Tap payments will be available at Rotary Beach Park.
