Residents of northern Area D of the Strathcona Regional District are under stage 2 water restrictions, as of July 1.
The regional district said residents can water at any time using hand-held hoses with auto shut-off nozzles and micro or drip irrigation systems for trees, shrubs, flowers, and vegetables.
Sprinkler, soaker or weeper hose irrigation is permitted from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Tuesdays and Saturdays for even numbered homes and Wednesdays and Sundays for odd numbered homes.
The SRD said the restriction period will last until Sept. 1, unless an emergency requires greater restrictions.
