The Campbell River Royal Canadian Legion Branch 137 is preparing for a three-day celebration to mark its 100th anniversary.

The Legion is inviting the community to join in celebrating the milestone.

The festivities begin Friday, July 17, with an 11:30 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony at Spirit Square to officially open three maple leaf crosswalks recently installed in the area.

On July 18, the Legion will host an adults-only dance from 8 to 11 p.m. The schedule for July 19 features family activities from 1 to 3 p.m.

The events on July 18 and 19 will take place at the Campbell River Legion branch.
