A Children’s Charter has been signed in Campbell River.
The charter draws inspiration from legislation adopted by the United Nations, which recognizes the rights and freedoms of all children.
The feedback of local children was also gathered to help develop the charter.
Spokesperson for the Campbell River Area Family Network Joyce McMahon says the children’s charter gives details on how to develop the relationship between children, families and the city.
The ceremonial signing of the charter took place at city council chambers this week.
