Campbell River Fire crews are urging people to use extra caution over the next few days.
Fire Chief Ian Baikie says it was a busy weekend for crews, but fortunately none of the calls involved serious injury. He notes the roads could be icy for the next few days.
Baikie says drivers need to leave enough space between vehicles and give yourself extra time to get around town.
For pedestrians, Baikie says he knows it’s a challenge when sidewalks are not clear, but people should try to avoid walking on the roadway.
