City Giving Residents Options For Tax Payments

The city of Campbell River is offering residents alternate methods of paying their property taxes.

2017 property taxes were due on July 4th and any overdue amounts will be charged an extra 10%.

City spokesperson Mark Coulter points out in August, the city is offering a pre-authorized withdrawal system for next years collection.

“We set payments on a monthly basis. So each month it would come out, and in June, they’d come in and claim their homeowners grant, and then the final payment would be withdrawn.”

Coulter also notes even more options are available, including self-managed payment programs that can be set up through your bank.
