First Outline For Undeveloped Site Finished

A concept plan has been completed for an undeveloped site in the south end of town.

Using resident feedback, the Waterfront Front Task Force has finalized a conceptualized plan for the 3.5 acre site at Highway 19A and Roberts Beach.

City Manager Deborah Sargent notes residents were very clear in how they wanted the area developed.

“Another measure was to continue our very strong network of pedestrian and cycling networks along the waterfront.

People clearly supported the addition of public amenities on the site.”

Some of those amenties include shops and restaurants, as well as a park.

According to the plan, around $25 million is needed to develop the site.

Residents are invited to fill out a survey regarding the plan on the city website, and can do so until the end of the month.
